What makes Wolfie raw dog food so special?
At Wolfie, we are different from every other dog food business in that we produce the meat ourselves! We are wildly passionate about providing the most nourishing and sustainable raw dog food around! Our ingredients are ethically sourced from our Estate and farm, where the deer roam freely in our forests and feed on the lush lands. This ensures our venison is not only incredibly lean and flavorful but also sustainably sourced. We included the whole pheasant in our recipe, yes, that’s rights all the glorious breast, thigh and leg meat – nutritionally dense goodness.
What is raw dog food feeding?
Raw dog food feeding is a diet that consists of uncooked meat, organs, bones, and vegetables. It is also known as BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food”. The raw meat and food sourced direct from the land are designed to mimic the natural evolutionary diet of dogs, just as nature intended. No cooked or synthetic ingredients here, just pure, raw nourishment to fuel your dog’s primal vitality.
What are the benefits of raw feeding?
When you choose to raw feed with Wolfie, you’re giving your dog a whole host of

Transitioning to raw
How do I transition my dog to raw food?
There are two methods:
1. Rapid Transition (for healthy adult dogs) you can go for the “cold turkey” approach:
Start by skipping one meal to let their tummy rest for 12-24 hours
– For the next 3-4 days, keep things simple with our wild pheasant recipe.
– Then introduce other tasty proteins like venison, and game mix.
2. Gradual Transition (recommended for older dogs used to kibble).
– Start by mixing 75% of their kibble with 25% Wolfie raw food for 2 days
– Over the next few days, gradually decrease the kibble and increase the raw portion
– Keep the kibble and raw meals separate in different bowls
– Only increase the raw portion when you see those firm, healthy stools
The key is to go at your dog’s pace and be patient through any temporary digestive
adjustments. With either method, stick with it and you’ll be rewarded with a thriving,
raw-fed dog.
Is raw food safe for pets?
Yes, dogs digestion system is different to us humans and is designed to utilise and thrive on raw food. It is important that the raw dog food is properly sourced and handled. We use human grade food and follow stringent food safety protocols. We are an approved dog food business by DAERA (Department of Agriculture NI) and are inspected by them.
Feeding guidelines
How much should I feed my dog?
For adult dogs, we typically recommend 2-3% of their body weight per day. Check
our feeding plan guide for details.
Can puppies eat raw food?
Yes, from around 4 months old our properly formulated diets meets all nutritional needs for growing puppies. As puppy feeding guidelines are different to adult dogs, please request these from us.
Storage and Handling
How should I store raw dog food?
Keep frozen until ready to use. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight. Else place into a tupperware box or old ice cream box to defrost. Use all the juices they have great nutrients.
Can I microwave the food?
No, avoid microwaving or cooking our raw dog food, it is designed to be served uncooked, this way it preserves all the nutrients. We haven’t seen any dogs cooking their dinners yet.
Special diets
Is raw food suitable for dogs with allergies?
Yes, our recipes contain no fillers or additives. Our Wild Venison, Wild Pheasant and Wild Mixed Game meats are all known as “novel proteins”. We do add in a small amount of seaweed / kelp – if you dog has a thyroid issue, please consult your vet if you have a concern.
Do you have options for working dogs?
We will be developing a special range for high(er)-energy working dogs. Our recipes are based on the energy requirements of an “out of season working dog”, so an active dog but who is not running around all day. When our dogs Maggie and Iris are working, we increase the amount we feed them.
Ingredients and Quality
What sets Wolfie ingredients apart?
We are the only dog food producer, that we know of, that produces their own meat on their farm. We use human-grade, multi-award-winning ingredients with full traceability from our farm to bowl.
Do you include bones in your food?
Yes, all our recipes contain bone, around 10%. While not mandatory, we recommend feeding some raw bones for dental health and mental enrichment.
Ordering & Delivery
Ordering from Wolfie
Ready to start your raw feeding journey? Here are the details on ordering:
- Set up a convenient monthly subscription or place recurring orders as frequently as every 2 weeks
- Order our 8kg Sample Box to try a variety of recipes
We ship Mondays – Thursday via a courier who will email you the tracking details - If you won’t be home, just provide instructions to leave the delivery in a cool, shaded area like a shed or with a neighbour
- Shipping costs are calculated by total weight (max 20kg per box for easy lifting)
For smaller freezers, we recommend ordering more frequently or asking a friend/relative to hold some food for you. Keeping the raw food refrigerated for up to 5 days is also an option. If ordering frequently isn’t ideal, an extra freezer may be the most cost-effective solution.
Payment is due prior to shipping via credit card or bank transfer. And if you’d like to pick up locally, just give us a call during business hours Monday-Friday 9am-4pm to arrange.

How can I order Wolfie?
You can ‘Create Plan’, buy a one off or else set up a monthly subscription. It is your choice.
Do you offer free delivery?
Sadly not, we have to charge. There is a flat fee for up to 20kg and this will be added onto your order. If you don’t want to pay for shipping, do come and collect direct from us. We are a small business, and cannot absorb the shipping cost. We know that our customers are getting the best quality raw dog food.
